VP of Information Technology
Trenton Jackson was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in an urban community, right off of Cascade Road in southwest Atlanta. Trenton attended the Westminster Schools from 1st to 12th grade, and graduated with the Class of 2010. He matriculated to the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, to pursue a major in industrial engineering.>
Upon first meeting him, you would never know the serious tragedy and adversity that Trenton has faced and overcome in his own life. He tragically lost his parents a very young age, and was raised by his grandmother for most of his life. In the winter of 2011, he left the University of Miami and returned home to Atlanta to be a caretaker for his grandmother who had suddenly fallen ill. In the spring of 2012, Trenton’s life changed forever as he was forced to start living a full, adult life at just 20 years old.
The message and influence that Trenton wants to provide for the youths of Atlanta through his work with the Young Generation Movement, is one of strength, courage, and fearlessness. He wants the youths and his peers to understand that he knows what it is like to be a victim of circumstance; but he also knows what it means to overcome those circumstances. Trenton is proud to say that he is a survivor, not a victim. He formerly held an intern position working for the City of Atlanta, and currently runs and owns Simplum Solutions, LLC, specializing in web development and inbound marketing. With his work and devotion to the Young Generation Movement of Atlanta, Trenton is committed to making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate by sharing his own story of overcoming adversity and giving back to his community.
